A 34-year-old Jersey City woman was recently arrested Possession of Marijuana, Distribution of Marijuana and Growing Marijuana – which is the most serious. The female defendant made her first appearance in court today at Central Judicial Processing “CJP” for accusations of maintaining a drug production facility which included 15 marijuana plants, according to prosecutors.

However, in this case the defendant used a canvas tent with air filtration vents and heating lamps to take care of the plants and keep them hidden. It is unclear how this defendant’s operation was uncovered but law enforcement officers are constantly looking for clues on growing operations such as irregularly high electric bills from grow lamps.
In addition to the charge of operating a CDS production facility, police also charged the defendant with Marijuana Distribution within 1,000 feet of a School (Snyder High School), and Intent to Distribute Marijuana within 500 feet of a Public Facility and Conspiracy to Distribute Marijuana plants. Her bail was set at $150,000, cash or bond.
